“State legislators peppered Arizona’s leading public-health officials with questions about the safety of the new H1N1 flu vaccine on Thursday, saying they’ve been contacted by worried residents.

During a 2 1/2-hour briefing, the acting head of the Arizona Department of Health Services and Maricopa County’s public-health director repeatedly sought to reassure legislators – and the public – that any risks associated with the vaccine are minute and pale in comparison to the chances of catching the virus.”
