An animal rights group Thursday claimed responsibility for having attacked the vacation home of Novartis AG (NVS) Chief Executive and Chairman Daniel Vasella in Austria.

The group, whose claim was published on the Internet by U.S.-based Bite Back Magazine, said it destroyed Vasella’s vacation home early Monday morning by using “60 liters of petrol.” (WSJ)
