The State Department has notified approximately 400 passport applicants in the D.C. area of a breach in its database security that allowed a ring of thieves to obtain confidential information so they could fraudulently use credit cards stolen from the mail, officials said.
The scheme, involving two major government agencies, came to light months ago through a fluke. On March 25, D.C. police officers on a routine patrol stopped a car on the suspicion that its windows were excessively tinted, an apparent violation of city law. Smelling marijuana, the officers searched the car and discovered that the 24-year-old driver was carrying 21 credit cards not in his name and printouts of eight passport applications — and that four of the names on the passport applications matched the names on four of the credit cards, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court. I, Lisa Sarr was married to Ismaila Sarr on March 12th of 2002.However I have been residing in Ohio and he has been residing in Iowa. I stayed married with him, due to finacial problems,I was not living with him and we have been apart for some time in 2005. In the marriage we did concieve a child. I’m contacting you due, base on my experince and feelings that our marriage was a fruad, on his part. I thought that he had loved me, but through the years of being married, recently I found that he used our marriage as a way of citinzenship for himself. He filed for a citizenship paper with out me knowing and he was not living with me at this time. I didnt go back with him until 8/7/2008 and I left him once again do to the abuse he had done to me, I left between 2/2/09 and 2/10/09 back to Columbus Ohio with my parents. My concern for this issue, our marriage was a fruad and I wouldnt want anyone else have to go through what I have gone through. Now he recieved his papers and he has taken my life from me; is divorceing me; taking my daughter as well I pray for someone to reach out and help me for what is a fraud to me taking a young women and turning her into a punching bag, than throwing her out when he is done with her. My request is for someone to investigaite this situaitoin.
