“For those who have followed U.S. Sen. Joe Lieberman’s political career of late, it should probably come as no surprise that he plans to focus a lot of his attention in the coming year on the threat of terrorism here at home.

As chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Lieberman plans to hold a series of hearings on the topic.

In March, the committee plans to examine the threat of a domestic terrorist attack using a nuclear device — something that Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff last year told the committee is the nation’s top security risk.” (Connecticut Post)
